Global Settings

Configure your company data, manage global time tracking rules, limit retroactive absence requests, and set up payroll rounding parameters.

Overview

The Global Settings page allows administrators to manage high-level workspace preferences. This includes configuring basic company metadata, tailoring the mobile application behavior for employees, protecting historical timesheet data, restricting retrospective absence requests, and adjusting payroll calculation parameters.

To access these settings, navigate to Settings → Global Settings or go directly to /panel/manage-global-settings.

Multi-Company Configurations

If your workspace is configured to manage multiple companies using Legal Entities, the reports (such as the Time Registry Report) will dynamically use the name and tax details of the specific Legal Entity linked to each employee's contract instead of these global defaults.

Time Tracking Rules

Tailor the MyChronos mobile application behavior and enforce compliance rules for your employees' shifts.

FieldDescription
Show worked time today in the applicationWhen enabled, a daily counter displays live clocked-in hours for the current day on the employee mobile app. (Default: false)
Enable breaksWhen enabled, employees can register pauses/rest periods via a break button in their mobile app during active clock-in sessions. (Default: false)
Do not recalculate hours beforeSpecifies a lock date. The system will absolutely prevent any automatic recalculation of logged hours prior to this date, safeguarding validated historical timesheets even if you modify schedules or global patterns.
Maximum duration of a time tracking recordDefines a safety threshold in hours. If an employee clocks in but fails to clock out, the system will automatically close the shift once this duration is exceeded, preventing runaway timesheet entries.
Allow registering hours without an active contractWhen active, employees can clock and log work hours even if they do not currently have an active contract registered in the system. (Default: false)

Absences Calendar

Manage general settings and request limits for absences and leave requests.

FieldDescription
Maximum days in the past to request an absenceRestricts how far back in time an employee can retroactively request an absence. For example, if set to 2, an employee requesting an absence today can only select yesterday or the day before.

Payroll Settings

Configure global parameters that dictate how timesheet records are processed and prepared for payroll exports.

FieldDescription
Round records to the nearest quarter of an hourWhen active, all employee clock-in and clock-out times used for payroll processing are rounded to the nearest 15-minute interval (e.g., 08:07 is rounded to 08:00, while 08:08 is rounded to 08:15). (Default: false)
