Record Review
Review employee clockings day by day in a timeline view, spot anomalies, and mark records as reviewed.
/panel/timesheets-validation lets managers review employee clockings in a visual timeline, detect anomalies, add missing records, and mark days as reviewed. It is accessible from the top menu of the Time Log page.
Filters
At the top of the page you can narrow down which employees and days to focus on:
- Employees — By default all employees are shown. Use the selector to filter by specific people.
- With missing hours — Shows only employees who worked fewer hours than scheduled that day.
- Worked on unexpected day — Shows only employees who clocked in on a day they were not scheduled to work.
- With excess hours — Shows only employees who worked more hours than scheduled that day.
Reviewing a day
Click on any day in the calendar to load the timeline for that day. Below the calendar, each employee appears as a row with their clockings displayed visually.
- If an employee had an absence that day, it also appears in their row.
- Hover over an employee's row to see additional details: their expected schedule and total hours worked, or their absence information.
- Click on a clocking to edit it directly.
Clocking indicators
Each clocking block may display a small colour indicator:
- Yellow indicator — The clocking was edited by the employee during their mobile app validation.
- Green indicator — The employee has validated this record from the app.
- Green background on the full row — This day has already been marked as reviewed by a manager.
Calendar day colours
Days in the calendar with a light blue background have clockings that are still pending manager review.
Adding a missing clocking
If an employee is missing a clocking for a given day, click on their row at the approximate time you want to create the entry. A window will appear to specify the start and end times of the record.
If the employee has a schedule defined for that day, MyChronos will automatically suggest the scheduled hours as the default values.
Marking records as reviewed
Once you have verified one or more days, click the Mark as reviewed button at the top right.
A dialog will ask you to specify:
- Period — The date range to mark as reviewed.
- Employees — Which employees' records to mark within that period.
- Unmark option — If you need to undo a review, enable the unmark option. By default this is off, so saving will mark the selected records as reviewed.
